Building Safer, Stronger Communities Across West Wales

At Pinnacle Workforce Training Ltd, we believe that first aid knowledge should not be limited to healthcare professionals or workplaces—it is a life skill that everyone should have.

That's why we're proud to offer FREE First Aid Awareness Talks to community groups across West Wales, helping local people gain the confidence to act when it matters most.

Whether you're part of a Women's Institute, U3A, Rotary Club, Probus Club, church, charity, sports club or other community organisation, our relaxed and engaging sessions provide practical advice that could one day help save the life of a family member, friend or stranger.

Why We Do It?

Our mission is simple: to make communities safer through education and confidence.

Too often, people witness a medical emergency and feel helpless because they don't know what to do. By sharing straightforward, easy-to-understand guidance, we empower ordinary people to make extraordinary differences while waiting for the emergency services to arrive.

No exams. No pressure. Just practical knowledge delivered in an enjoyable and interactive way.

What You'll Learn

During the talk we'll explore topics such as:

  • Recognising a cardiac arrest and understanding CPR
  • Defibrillator (AED) awareness
  • Helping someone who is choking
  • Spotting the signs of a stroke or heart attack
  • Burns and scalds
  • Seizures and anaphylaxis
  • When and how to call for emergency assistance

The content is tailored for everyday situations that anyone could encounter at home, at work or in the community.

Delivered by an Experienced Professional

The talks are presented by Andrew James-Deakin, Director of Pinnacle Workforce Training Ltd, who brings decades of experience in education, health and social care, quality assurance and professional training. Having trained thousands of learners throughout his career, Andrew is passionate about making first aid accessible, understandable and memorable for everyone.

Supporting Local Organisations

Groups within 20 miles of Llanelli can book a session completely free of charge. Organisations further afield are simply asked to contribute towards travel costs.

Our aim isn't to sell courses during these sessions—it's to give something back to the community and ensure that more people have the confidence to step forward when every second counts.

Knowledge creates confidence. Confidence saves lives.

If your community group would like to arrange a free talk, we'd be delighted to hear from you. Together, we can help build a safer, more prepared West Wales—one conversation at a time.
